S.M.A.R.T. (State Martial Arts Ratings & Totals) is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting and supporting martial arts and tournaments throughout the state of Maine. Each year, our members participate in rated and ranked tournaments across the state, accumulating points within our tiered ranking system.
As the tournament season progresses, competitors strive to amass as many points as possible. At the conclusion of the tournament season, all earned points are tallied, and final rankings are determined, categorized by age and rank. The competitor with the highest total points at the end of the season is honored as the State Martial Arts Ratings and Totals Champion in their respective class, age group, and division. The top-ranked competitors are also extended an invitation to showcase their skills at the prestigious S.M.A.R.T. State Championships, where the ultimate champion of the year is crowned across various categories. So, why should you consider becoming a part of the SMART circuit?
