The Elm City Karate Challenge’s priority is to help keep competitors, spectators, and staff personnel safe and healthy while attending our event. The Elm City Karate Challenge requires that everyone who wishes to participate in our tournament adhere to the following guidelines. With everyone’s cooperation we can help make this tournament a fun and safe event for all.
Competitors and accompanying spectators must not attend the tournament if they have any symptoms of COVID-19 or any contagious disease.
All persons are to follow the AYCC’s Covid-19 policies when they are in the AYCC facility.
All persons including staff, officials, judges, referees, and spectators MUST wear a mask/face covering that encloses both nose and mouth at all times while inside the gymnasium.
COMPETITORS HAVE THE OPTION TO REMOVE THEIR MASK WHEN IT’S THEIR TURN TO PERFORM. Otherwise, Competitors MUST wear a mask while not actively competing (spectating, waiting for competition to begin, or their turn to perform).
All competitors should have and use their own labeled (with name) personal sports equipment, water bottle, towel, hand sanitizer, and appropriate face covering.
All persons are strongly encouraged to a keep safe social distance from those who are not part of their group.
Head judges will do their best to keep competitors separate from each other at a socially safe distance while at the rings.
Hand sanitizers will be available throughout the tournament facility. Please sanitize your hands frequently.
